Abstract:
The article deals with the issues of control in the process of systematic formation of grammatical competence as a necessary component of the communicative-speaking competence of foreign students at the preparatory faculty. The purpose of the article is to determine the content s of the lexical-grammatical component of language competence and to develop means for its effective control for foreign students ( non-philolog ical speciality) who study Russian as Second L anguage (1 certification level). The work specifies the meaning of the concept. «Linguistic competence» . Besides, the significance of its lexico-grammatical component is revealed. There is a list of functions of language control, which include verifying, evaluative, motivational-stimulating, educational, corrective, diagnostic, generalizing and developing.
